Privacy Policy for RoAPI Discord Bot

This Privacy Policy describes how RoAPI ("the Bot", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our Discord bot, RoAPI, which tracks Roblox game statistics and updates.
1. Information We Collect
RoAPI collects the following types of information:
- Discord User IDs: We collect the User ID of the person who sets up a tracker or interacts with the bot's commands (e.g.,
/setup, /delete_tracker, /modify_tracker). This is used to manage tracker ownership and apply user-specific limits (e.g., premium status, personal tracker limits).
- Discord Guild (Server) IDs: We collect the ID of the Discord server where a tracker is set up. This is used to manage server-specific configurations, tracker limits, and to ensure the bot functions correctly within that server.
- Discord Channel IDs: We store the ID of the Discord channel where a game tracker's embed message is posted and where update notifications are sent.
- Discord Message IDs: We store the Message ID of the embed message that the bot sends to track a game. This allows the bot to update the existing message with new game data.
- Roblox Universe IDs: The core function of the bot requires you to provide a Roblox Universe ID. This ID is used to fetch game data from Roblox's public APIs.
- Game Data: We fetch and store public Roblox game data (e.g., game name, description, visits, active players, likes, dislikes, favorites, last updated time, creator name, icon, thumbnail, root place ID, sub-places). This data is publicly available through Roblox's APIs and is stored to enable tracking and detect changes.
- Bot Configuration Data: This includes settings such as embed color, whether update notifications are enabled, and internal metrics related to bot performance (e.g., API calls, embeds updated, commands used). This data is primarily for the bot's operational purposes and improvement.
- Blacklist Information: If a user, guild, or universe ID is blacklisted, we store the respective ID and the reason for blacklisting.
- Premium Status: We store a list of User IDs that have premium access to unlock additional bot features.
- Gamepass Purchase Proof (Manual): While the bot itself doesn't process payments, users who purchase gamepasses are instructed to submit proof in a ticket on our support server. This proof (e.g., screenshots) is handled manually and is not stored directly by the bot's automated systems.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate the RoAPI Discord bot's services, including tracking Roblox game statistics and sending updates.
- To manage and enforce tracker limits per server and per user.
- To identify and manage premium users and their associated features.
- To maintain and improve the bot's functionality, performance, and reliability.
- To respond to user commands and inquiries.
- To generate internal performance reports for bot administration.
- To enforce our Terms of Service, including managing blacklisted users, guilds, and universes.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personally identifiable information with third parties, except as described in this Privacy Policy:
- Discord: Information is shared with Discord as necessary to operate the bot (e.g., sending messages, creating threads, fetching channel information).
- Roblox: The bot interacts with Roblox's public APIs to fetch game data. No personal user data is sent to Roblox by the bot.
- Service Providers: We may use third-party services (e.g., for logging, hosting) that may have access to data for the purpose of providing their services. These providers are obligated to protect your information.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or government agency request).

All configuration data, including User IDs, Guild IDs, Channel IDs, Message IDs, and Roblox Universe IDs, is stored in JSON files on the bot's hosting environment. We implement reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your information.
Please be aware that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide the bot's services and for legitimate operational purposes, such as maintaining tracker configurations. If a tracker is deleted or the bot is removed from a server, associated configuration data will be removed.

- Deletion: Request deletion of your information, subject to certain legal obligations.
